A game show, not a quiz
Kahoot is a quiz. Round is a game show.
Kahoot is built for a class answering multiple choice as fast as they can, each person looking at their own phone. Round is for a group in one room: the board is on a big screen, phones are buzzers, and a host runs the game.
What Round is for
Team building, an office party, a holiday party, a trivia night, a birthday. Someone hosts. Teams buzz in. The host judges the answer and keeps score. AI can write the board. The live room is the part a chatbot cannot run.
What Kahoot does better
Kahoot is the right tool when everyone should answer at once, when the questions are multiple choice, and when you want the pace of a classroom quiz. It has a huge library of ready-made lessons, reports a teacher can export, and assignments students can do on their own. Round does not try to be that. There is no multiple-choice mode, no grade book, and no lesson plan.
How a Round starts
Type a topic, get a board, put the host screen on the projector, and read the six-digit code out loud. People join from the browser. No app and no accounts for players.
